The Maurano lab develops genomic approaches to gene regulation and studies their application to common human diseases

We are affiliated with the NYU Department of Pathology, and are part of the new Institute for Systems Genetics, which hosts high-throughput sequencing, robotics, high-performance computing, and megabase-scale DNA synthesis facilities.

We have open staff and postdoc positions! Candidates should contact Matt Maurano at

Welcome to Raquel M., Raquel O., and André who are joining us this fall!

May 2018
We are proud to be a part of the new NYU Center for Synthetic Regulatory Genomics, an NHGRI-funded Center of Excellence in Genomic Sciences. We will be using large-scale DNA assembly to investigate the the role of regulatory variation and human disease and trait loci.
